It did all that update stuff and I had to re DL minecraft.jar, and thats done- but now I cant join servers. I log in just fine... And I choose a server, any server, (even my own) and it sends me directly to single player instead.
I've tried joining servers from minecraft.net itself, and that works just fine. But the problem persists on the client. When I double click on any single server- it gives this, and goes to single player.
Anybody got that issue, or can help? :P
Running on Vista.
I'm having a similar problem.
Still can't get Womclient to connect to any server. It finds the server
list okay 70% of the time, otherwise it fails to completely. Even when
the list of servers is there, if I try to connect to one, it immediately
begins to generate a level.
There is no message saying "Can't connect...going single player" at all.
This is in now way related to not having the correct minecraft.jar
file, as I have had to replace it several times in the last 24 hours
thanks to Womclient updating it to a 0kb file.
Look, I'm not an idiot, and if I'm having this much trouble it seems to
me that there must be a problem with Womclient since Minecraft migrated
to the new server.
Can someone please look into this, or let us know if this is the case?
I dual-boot XPx32-SP3 and Win7x64 and have the exact same problem on
both systems since Minecraft came back online yesterday. Coincidence?
Please help :( I love Womclient!
Loads the server list but sometimes servers will be there then next time I load it, they're gone... Then they're back... and about 1/10 tries will be successful in getting into a server; otherwise it loads up single-player x_x
EDIT HELP IM DYING WITHOUT WOM
OMG, you have to replace the minecraft.jar with the one you downloaded.
Not that hard.
Dude if we hadn't done that it wouldn't've ran AT ALL so we EVIDENTLY did!! It's just not connecting to the servers correctly
hey i have a problem that even if i replace the minecraft.jar it still dose the same thing sayng this but it worked fine a while ago sry for bad spelling

Make sure that ur downloading this one: https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/classic/minecraft.jar
ive used that download several times and i still get the "update applet" annoyance. Sometimes, if im lucky, i won't get the update and receive the server list in which then i get the problem above listed. Here's a little trick i have found around the above listed annoyance, click the reload button several times and hopefully, if your luckily it will load the server. Sometimes you may have to click reload 5 times or more. And of course, i don't know whats going on with your computer but that trick has worked for me when i passed the "update applet" annoyance but remember, it may not work.
Also TO THE World of Minecraft DEVELOPERS: Can you please sort out your problems with this Lacour developer please. Is it really that much of a detriment to yourselves to not fix problems with YOUR software just because a guy became a rogue. Many people are really getting pissed off at these problems and the very little attention the DEVELOPERS are attending to the problems. Please divert your attention to what matters before many members might leave this website!
For those of you that can't seem to read these posts properly, YES I have re-downloaded the correct version of minecraft.jar from the s3amazon url.
I'm not having any java issues at all apart from the relentless updating of womclient (annoying).
The issue is the same as Gameboyman99 said. Womclient shows the server list fine, but if I try to connect to a server, I have a 5% chance that it will connect. 95% of the time it just generates a single player level, without any notifications at all.
Also, each time I restart womclient, some servers have disappeared. Reload again, and they are back. Still can't connect.
Has anyone noticed that there seems to be a similar situation on the minecraft server page itself? Try reloading the page again and again. Servers are dropping off.
If I delete the cookie for the minecraft server page from my browser's cache, and then reload the page, then the servers that were missing come back again.
Something weird has happened when minecraft migrated to the new server in my opinion. Maybe the servers on the list are not being registered properly somehow and womclient can't keep up with the changes?
Lets blame it on him!(no sarcasm meant) ur right its prolly his migration come to think of it
Mine is like: Servers: (NOTHING)And first i thought that was normal, but apperently it isnt... And the URL paste thing won't work either, i've downloaded the zip map 4 times, and the minecraft.jar file 5 times D: idk what 2 do! Help!
If womclient is updating every time you run it, restart your computer. After your restart, delete your womclient folder completely and unzip a new one. Don't forget to put minecraft.jar back in lib folder. Worked for me (temporarily).
But see if this helps at all. This is for windows users only.
Press the start button on your taskbar and goto 'Run", type 'cmd' and this time hold down control while you press enter.
If 'Run' doesn't appear on your start menu, then navigate to the
folder 'Accessories' and then right-click 'Command Prompt' and 'Run as
Administrator'. (vista or win7)
When you've got that black window open type this and press enter.
ipconfig /flushdns
See if that makes any difference.
I have a similar problem, the World of Minecraft client is working, but when i click a server to join it.it says "Failed to connect" no matter what server it is....
im not really sure but i think it doesnt support windows vista...
what im having problems with is the mc:// thing for the multiplayer servers! I have know idea what to do and no one is giving me help! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I have the exact same problem. I put in my login credentials correctly, and the server list shows up just fine, but when I try to log into a particular server, it just loads up single player.
