Some sort of tribal server...(Role playing)

Well, I was just thinking...(This post is not for the faint hearted)

MAYBE, just MAYBE, I could host some sort of Tribal server, where people are split up into tribes and try to prosper, etc.(Guy falls down dead in the back)

Here's the details.

There are three, or so, tribes. Everybody who joins is in a tribe, and has to work as a specific job.

Builder, gathering resources, architecture, irrigation, farming, you name it.Seriously - Name more in your comments.

Each is under a ruler, who is the supposed "god". The god has two advisors, who help him keep his tribe in order.

And, of course, the people need houses. The lots are given to them by their class, the class is given to them by the "god", of which they start as peasants and work up.

Peasants

Particians- Architects, and other jobs.

Advisor- Elected by God to help him run everything.

Peasants- Lowest class, beginners.

Jobs:

Architects- Tells builder how to build the huts and plans out city and God's temple.

Border Patrol- Simple job, stays at spawn jail to make sure you're in that tribe.

Builder- Builds houses under architects command.

Farmer- Farms for resources and crops.

Miner- Seeks out ores for the God's temple.

Guards- Defends against enemy tribes, protects God, seeks out enemy peasants for sacrifice to the God.

Irrigationist- Creates under ground sewege to supply the city with water.

ETC.

Tribal WAR

Each tribe has its land. The rest of the land is unoccupied territory. Each tribe must build itself quickly to gain access to that land and its resources.

Because minecraft is non-violent, the tribe-vs-tribe part is more "complex".

When a wondering peasant is confronted with enemy guards, it must follow the enemy guards to their prison. There, they will wait for sacrifice.

If you are killed, you will lose your tribal status.

If a god is confronted with enemy guards, they are slain, and the advisors must take over as kings, or something.

Perhaps a simplified version.

Perhaps a simplified version. Play it in multiplayer survival, just have each tribe have a chief, braves (warriors) and tribesmen (workers).
I assume multiplayer survival will have you able to shoot your arrows and use your swords on other players.
Have npc mobs running around that are animals and etc.
If a worker is accosted by a brave of the other tribe he is a prisoner.
Notch has noted about a possible flag capture to gain territory function in minecraft, so that could be used for tribes to claim land. It would make a tribe actually have to build stuff around the flag to defend it (eg encase the flag in a building surrounded by walls to protect it)

Not a bad idea. Yet, until Multi player survival is out, I wanna beta test it, but we need a more finalized version.

This is a really great idea,

This is a really great idea, Mvp. Since I've played the indev, I can tell that this will be a great idea for Multi-vival. The chat system would have to be split down the middle, but if Notch intended a capture the flag game, I'm sure that'll be something easily attainable.

Can't wait for it.

never cheat expect when making really big things then INVedit but i never used INVedit on the server.

I would absolute like to be an architect on your server. Been very creative in minecraft all the time and I guess I will fullfil the role as an architect very well.
