I'd like to believe that

I'd like to believe that violence in games does not affect people's behaviour and I think it is true in the most case. However it really depends on the person so yes I think violence in video games could affect some people, not all.

I don't think most Tv Shows would have much impact on people other than maybe Reality Tv Shows. I would stand that Movies have as much influence on people as Video Games

Well...

I believe that for many of the older gamers, it doesnt affect us as much because we aren't easily influenced by unrealistic graphics on a screen, due to the fact that we would already know the difference between the things that are real and the things that are not. However, those of a younger generation are still in the process of learning, and as such, they can be easily persuaded into acting in the same manner as that of what they see in games and other forms of "violent" actions across various media platforms.

However, those of an older generation can be tricked into believing that they know more than they think they do. Especially in games that simulate modern lifestyle or games that have actual objects, scenes or places in real life (Eg. Sims, Call of Duty, etc.). In my opinion, this can have some minor alterations to one's personality. For example, most CoD players use a lot of weapons throughout the course of the game. This can influence them into talking about all sorts of weapons used in the game, and can further enhance their desire to use weapons. I have personally seen this in some of my school friends, who talk about joining the military and have even started to create homemade "weapons" using all sorts of materials and element compounds.

Overall, I do not believe that violence in games can drastically change someone's behaviour or views. But that can all depend on the age of the person, how many games they play, how long they play and their personality.
