I downloaded the World of Minecraft client just fine, but when I try to open the saved minecraft.jar file, I get -
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from
C:\Users\Main\Downloads\minecraft.jar
I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or not, as others have tried to help me, but have never run into this problem.
I am currently running Windows Vista 32bit

Hi I've put everying in the right location but when I start it up it has this error:
could not find main class:main.program will exit.
ERROR:Failed to run Minecraft
JAVA6="C:\program files\java\jre6\bin\java.exe"

I'm having the exact same problem. I've looked around on the web, but all i get is techie people that are running their own java servers. Any idea what's wrong, or how to fix it? i downloaded minecraft.exe Just fine, so I'm guessing the problem is in the jar file.

I've been looking for hours to find the actual download and when I do get it the main class atribute isn't there please fricken help SOMEBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow this thread is a year ago. the minecraft.jar is aleready located on World of Minecraft client 1.6. because Mojang does not need minecraft classic anymore, triddin has the complete permission to modiy and upgrade the Minecraft classic.

I downloaded the .jar file jst fine but now the client isnt even running at all help?
