There are three versions of the Lavender Town Theme.

The Beta version of Green http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?l7yc3qx1c5cf6b0 (NOTE, Be careful with this track, it 'can' hurt some people's ears) It has nasty eerie music

When the original games (Green/Red) were released in Japan, the Beta theme was changed to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZOd_gFld9c This was apparently the most problematic version of Lavender Town as lots of parts in the song were not correctly pitched so it would actually hurt kid's ears (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?66gda0fdamy3981).

So then when the game was re-released in Japan and then released world wide, the theme got edited again so that it would be correctly pitched. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4bn1lo3wkubkz76 This is the version ripped from the Red/Blue soundtrack CD they did so it is sort of remastered but this is what you would have heard in that version.

So there was Beta, 1.0 and 1.1 themes of Lavender Town :)

Oh and worried about the download links? They are my own personal links with no viruses but I'm sure you could search YouTube for most of these themes but these are probably the highest quality versions I have :)
