Where are my save files? Trying to use the survival map but can't find where to place the save file

Title says it all. I've searched all over my PC files and can't find anything Minecraft related that would have a save file. I've been playing via the 250kb launcher, I didn't download any program. Please help, thanks!

If you indeed have been using the launcher then you simply need to go to the texture packs and mod option in the main menu click 'open texture pack folder' and go up one level (the folder icon with a green arrow on it. It's in the toolbar) And find the folder labeled 'saves'
