at first: hitting save once is enough
second: java has nothing to do with server lag
server lag is basically you having a bad connection with the server
CLIENT lag is something WAY different then server lag
client lag is 9/10th of the time caused by bad FPS due to your hardware being a little bit weak
it can be caused by you running heavy RAM and CPU-eating programs in the background
it can be caused by the map being big or you having turned settings on highest
this man is probably talking about server lag which happens on the servers sometime
