Will my computer run minecraft?

I really want to buy this game but Im not sure if my computer will run it
specs of my PC: AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ MMX 2.2Ghz and 3D now
(I know that its old but I really would like to know)
It also has 2GB of ram
Should this be okay to run the game?

that should work just fine.
my proof it should:
1st) this pc 2.3ghz w/ 2gb ram run's just fine in sp
2nd) on minecraft.net it says it reccomends at least 1gb ram w/ latest 64bit java
