Will the specs on my computer be good enough to run a server.

Hi,
I know you probably get a million and one of these questions but i need to know. I have a netbook with a 1.67Ghz cpu and 1GB of ram. The internet that i will be running it on is a fiber-optic connection and the download speed is 30gb (i know its upload speed that counts i cant remember it though. im just trying to say its very fast.) There will only be 4 people on the server at peak, mostly only 3 as its just for me and my friends.
I was just wondering should i even bother trying, any advice is highly appreciated.

yeah
in theory it would work as there are not many of you
but it would be likely to be a very slow server with the low amount of ram

it would run a lot more smoothly with 2Gb ram than with only 1GB

haha, thats why i custom built my pc. The laptop i want to run the server on, will only be used for running a server nothing else. Do you know how much electricity it would use?
