When playing Minecraft on windows 7 i experience L O T S of lag. So much that the game is unplayable. My pc can run lots of other things with out any lag at all.
Is there any way to improve performance for minecraft on Windows 7???

Minecraft is a bigger resource hog than GTA4 and Crysis put together, are you sure it isn't the computer? What's your CPU and CPU Clock Speed?

I'm having tons of lag issues also. Win 7 64 bit with i3-330M with HT and 4gb of ram. I have 2 other friends who use minecraft and have comparable or more powerful computers. They have little to no lag. I've noticed theirs runs on java in 32 bit, while mine remains running java on 64 bit. Any suggestions?
