As some people know, there's a mod called the Aether. From what I've heard, it's one of the largest Minecraft mods available and it basically adds an eniterely new dimension/area to explore. What I suggest is that Mojang hire the four guys who created the Aether mod on as employees and then have them put the Aether into the actual game itself. That way, the guys who made the mod can continue working on the game they love with Jeb and the entire Minecraft community will get a new place to explore without need of a mod. Everybody wins! Of course, that's just my idea. If a bunch of you think that might be fun to do, please say something here. It just might get them to include it in a future update. Maybe 2.0 or something.

ssfdre38 is correct, The mod has been dead for a long while now. As for adding a new dimension the End is fairly recent. If Mojang wanted Aether in the actual game they would simply buy the source code from the Aether developers rather than hiring them. The reason Aether won't be implemented is because not enough people would regularly use it to make it worth while putting into the game and using up more resources than necessary.

i wish the aether pretty much after the end came out all hopes were ruined
even if the Aether is a dead mod its still a pretty good mod for minecraft
