For some unknown reason, World of Minecraft v1.6.1 is not running. I do not know why. I've double-clicked the .exe, I've right-clicked it and clicked Open, and no matter what, not even the PROCESS for it runs.

I'm running Windows XP, either SP2 or SP3. Not sure which one.
I'll try tunning World of Minecraft on my other computer, see if that works. (My other computer uses Vista SP3)

I've double clicked, run as admin, right click open.... everything and it wont run or open anything, no errors nothing. help please!?

Just tried using Right Click > Run as... > unchecked "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity". No luck.
I'll try running it in compatiiblity for 2000 next.
EDIT: No luck.

Getting the same issue here, XP with SP3, latest java installed.

If it's not running properly, you can open a command window, and run the following command:
java -jar World of Minecraft.exe
(need to make sure java.exe is in your path and you are in the directory with World of Minecraft.exe in it first)
It may be that an uncaught error is being thrown, if this is the case, and you can post it in here, I can fix it.

I Have this same problem, i've downloaded it for the first time. I Then run it.. it works perfect first time. i close it.. and re-open it later to play again.. and i get an Windows error sound, but no message telling me what the error is. no matter what i do (re-install.. turn on and off PC) nothing works..
