World of Minecraft Client Issue

Hello.
Im having a problem with the World of Minecraft client, everytime i try to go onto a server i keep getting the error message java.lang.illegalArgumentException: input == null
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Nothing happens
having a problem right at the start, it reads " Starting Program File \Java\ ..
and thats it, nothing happens. Really confused, so if someone could shine some light, it would be appreciated..

I'm having the exact same
I'm having the exact same issue as todd, though I suspect the problem is that minecraft.net is down, it still seems odd that it would require a website to find a file on my computer. I'm reasonably sure I have JRE installed, so this is quite odd.

just had to move the folder to the desktop :)
