ok so the other day after i was immensely bored of dying in urban terror i decided to start screwing with the client files. ( :D ) so i got asked by mario19986 how to add higher res fonts after i was bragging about it (lol) so i thought i would add tutorials about how to do these 'personalization mods'.
so here's how to change the font to a higher res version.
make sure the client isn't open;i don't know what would happen if you had the client open while doing this,but let's be safe.
go to your World of Minecraft client folder then open the lib folder.
open the minecraft folder then backup the contents of the gui folder
then drag the files from 'Better GUI' folder of the attachment
to the gui folder.
gui:this will make the esc menu and the bar at the bottom that shows the blocks look better
icons:this will make the pointer thing look better
how to change the font:
you will need winrar/7zip or a similar program to do this.
goto your World of Minecraft client folder and open the lib folder.
open the World of Minecraft jar using winrar/7zip
rename default.png to something such as 'default backup'
then drag the contents of the 'High res font' folder in the attached folder into the World of Minecraft jar.
i would tell you how to change the login window background
but i don't think the staff would be happy with that being changed :[
