World of Minecraft Client Unable to connect

Hello, im relativeley new here, and my first new topic is already an problem with the World of Minecraft-Client :D

My problem is a following: when I try to connect to any server (localhost included) i get an error: Unable to connect. so i did everything at http://www.worldofminecraft.com/debug, and looked trough the console output. everything runs fine, till it prints out this when connecting to an server:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://www.minecraft.net/resources/
        at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown So
urce)
        at java.net.URL.openStream(Unknown Source)
        at com.mojang.minecraft.c.run(Unknown Source)
im using Java 7 (jre build 1.7.0_01-b08)

wow, er...

I'll suggest downloading the World of Minecraft client again, sorry I can't do anything more to help. Good luck on that, though.

hmmm

that is a hard one

try simply redownloading the client (probably wont help)

make sure that nothing on your computer is trying to block the client from working

other than that i could only suggest that you try using a different version of java

1. as above, doesnt help
2. Firewall is off (Its ok, i have a hardware NAT)
3. Backdating Java7  to Java 6?
