H4X has released an updated World of Minecraft Client for Windows and Linux users.
You can now grab version 2.0.8 in the Downloads section.
An updated MacOSX version will be available soon.

Even though i agree with you, snowglone, the default flight for minecraft classic stinks!
Fails if you are running for an extended amount of time
is impossible to use in a smooth, stylish manner
Glitches out when by edge of a world.
this is why I love client. Flight is so much better than mc default. Thank you H4X!!!

if you go to mc classic and type /fly on most any server besides a game server or team9000, most likely it will let you fly when jumping.

And actually, that is server software, not Minecraft classic itself. World of Minecraft servers don't have a /fly command.

If you have Java 7 get Java 6
If you have a Mojang account use your email to login and when you select a server remove yoru email from the game URL and put your username.

Still getting
a) Unable to authenticate errors
- Only works with Mojang-Account (E-Mail). Old non-mojang accounts don't work.
and
b) Timeout: Minecraft.net returned incomplete server details
Java 6 (32Bit) installed (no other versions). Great job.

Only Java 6 works with the client. Java 7 messes up multiplayer for some reason.
If you have a Mojang account you will need to login with your email and password and when you select a server, go to the game URL and chane the email to your username.
With 2.0.8 you also do not need to use any external clients/mods with it.
