World of Minecraft Client update causing failure
Hi there. :)
I just re-downloaded both Minecraft.jar, and the World of Minecraft client.
After placing Minecraft.jar in the lib folder, and running the minecraft-osx.sh, I get a little popup (no buttons) saying:
"Downloading update. Please wait."
A few moments after that, I get a new one (with an ok button) stating:
"The application will now quit. It should pick up the updated applet version when restarted."
I hit ok. The World of Minecraft quits.
I then run minecraft-osx.sh again.
In the terminal, it now reads:

I have the latest java installed. The World of Minecraft USED to work before the whole update thing.
How can I fix this?
I am having teh same problem,
I am having teh same problem, it would be very helpful to know.
Reinstall
I had this problem also. I deleted all of the World of Minecraft client files including minecraft.jar and downloaded them again. It's working good for me now so I hope this helps. (In case you didn't hear, which would be pretty unlikely, minecraft.net has been having a lot of problems lately so if your client can't get the server list, there's nothing wrong with it. You just have to wait it out.)
okey
i have the same problem but it say"Could not retrieve server list. Going single-Player" and if i did connect it , then i select a server and go, it say something about can find the url or it wont connect it
