i followed the guide on how to instal World of Minecraft and it worked for a while. but now, when i chose a server form the list ( or even single player ) the window shrinks up as tiny as possible and wont expand, so i have to close it. in the task bar, the window is labeled as "Minecraft Coords 5,4,-1 Pitch/Yaw 0,+0 (not responding)".
it did this for a while and now it shows the tiny screen and the words (in a error box) "org.lwjgl.opengl.openGLException: invalid value (1281)"
then i press "ok" then the tiny window expands to normal, but now its black and in the top say
"Minecraft has failed to open (not responding)"
so then i close that and windows says
"Java (TM) platform SE binary is not responding"
thats it, i hope i was discriptive enough, if i could get some advice for what to do, that would be great.
(i have windows vista 64bit and updated all my Javas)
ok got it but what do i do with it? you said you tampered with the files, but how? do i just put it in the lib folder? when i open it and press run, it just says it needs an updated applet, same as the old version
I tampered with the minecraft.jar and the Run.exe, I made it so that when the auto-update does occur, it doesn't destroy minecraft.jar Which helps a lot so that you don't have to re-download the minecraft.jar file. Explain what exactly it says when you try to do "Run.exe"
ok so i got the updated World of Minecraft applet into the lib folder and your tampered version is working, i see the list and everything, love it. BUT when i chose a server, the window shrinks up again and goes nuts in the command promp it says
####### GL ERROR ########
@ post startup
1281 invalid value
lol wut
I have a diffrent problem. When i download the cilent i click run its says the folder is empty when its not empty.

I would suggest moving the files to a new folder on the desktop, I can look at the files in the download to see if there's a problem with Windows Vista, but for now just hang tight.
I think i know what the problem is, I believe that your Java Files aren't in the c:\Users\(your username for computer)\computer\Program Files (x86)\java
unfortunatly i do have a java folder in there with
3 folders
jre1.6.0_04
jre1.6.0_05
and jre6
are those the most recent java?
the java website says I'm updated
double post sorry
the strange thing is, I don't have jre1.6.0_04 or jre1.6.0_05...
i just deleted them but the widow size problem persists,
i might just have to run minecraft on a different computer.
(also i did some testing and realized, the window may say I'm on the server, but people on the server did not see me)
don't know if that helps, but this is weird
crap did it again
um... did it send the same message as before?
yup
(but now the x,y,z coordinates on the window changed by .5, not much of a change but hey)
other than that, the problem persists
I would suggest going into the Window's Task Manager...
did as you said but that just turned the client off and when i restarted the client the window problem still happened when i picked a server
thanks for trying to help man, if you have any other insane suggestions, ill try them.
I just ran the Run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista (64 bit) I saved the file and re-uploaded the client... Download:
same problem sorry dude
im just going to try on a different user then a new computer
WoM Coins: 15
I think your problem is that you need to use World of Minecraft v1.5.9, I use it... and it doesn't have any troubles after I tampered with the files. The link to a download for it is RIGHT HERE. Hope it helps you.
