World of Minecraft client won't come up.

I downloaded the client, had it download the minecraft.jar, sign in with my Minecraft username and password, but it does nothing. I can have it sit there for an hour, but nothings pops up. I open task manager and javaw is running, but nothing comes up.
Oh also, I have a windows machine, and I downloaded the windows version of the client.

EDIT: Oh sh*t, I think I know the problem. This doesn't work with Java 7 does it? :\ I'll reinstall a non-beta version and try again. I was wondering why it was working on my other windows computer, but not this one, and the other computer has a version from the oracle site. This one has a beta version of Java 7. Brb going to try it.
EDIT2: Must've been Java 7. My bad, problem solved.
