World of Minecraft client wrapper on OSX

I downloaded the client and the .jar file from minecraft. Everything is where it should be but i keep getting errors when i run it in terminal. Its basically syntax errors that pertain to the code in the run.bat file.
Am I doing something wrong or is this not really mac compatible?
