i get this message every time i start run.bat

Cmon how i DL the fly thing im asking this to much xD but HELPPPPPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :( and it won't lemme dl so urggh it's not working!!!

just follow his instructions
and to get the .jar file u have to go to minecraft.net where you downloaded it first, click download, then go to LINIX cus that's wehre that particular file is at.

Hey, I get the same issue.  I

Hey, I get the same issue.  I have:

Downloaded the latest client and installed it to a folder
Downloaded "minecraft.jar" and placed it in the "lib" folder of the client
Updated Java
Unblocked all applications

And I still receive the same errors.  I am also unable to find another forum thread that has addressed this issue.

Hello, I have figured it out

Hello, I have figured it out so I will address the issue for everyone:

You very likely downloaded the INCORRECT "minecraft.jar" file.   I visited:

http://minecraft.net/client/minecraft.jar

to get an automatic download, which was a good 150 kb larger than the file found on the website.   Replace the file with the one from the link and you should be in the clear.
