World of Minecraft error, help please?

When I attempt to the .bat file I get this error

Error occurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object
ERROR: Failed to run minecraft
JAVA6="C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\java.exe"

Any idea on what the problem is and how I can fix it? All help is appreciated

If it helps at all, I am getting the same error too, but a little different since I am on Windows 7.

The only difference is the directory part, but it still says it failed to run minecraft
