World of Minecraft MiniMap Mod

A year ago there was this mini-map mod that would hook into World of Minecraft somehow and show in a new window. Does anyone know where this went? It became incompatible after one of World of Minecraft's updates a while ago.
Or another question. What was it coded in? And how did they hook into the client? Was the client open-source at one time? Let me know cause I might just code it myself if I knew where to begin.

I don't remember where the topic was for it but here's the mini-map files when it worked:
It was sweet. It had an aerial view. You also could view depths, slices of levels. It was all in color and to scale. Why has no created something like this?
