Obviously I am experiencing lag, or I wouldn't make a thread about Graphics renderers.
So then, I ran World of Minecraft for the first time, and I had chosen "Hardware" without realizing what I was doing. I must have used Software all the other time, and didn't notice it, but I cannot change my setting back to hardware, or I have no knowledge of where to change it at.
So, my question is, How can I switch it to "Software"?
Also, There's a lot of lag in the server selection screen too. Never has been fixed.

Sorry about the late reply.
If you want to switch render, open up the client and in the direct connect url area put redetect and it will give you a little confirmation. From there just try to login and select a server and the render option message will pop up :)

The lag in the server selection screen is normal. It's just filtering out the servers and loading other ones.

Also, I think the problem with the World of Minecraft client searching for servers is the fact that 90% of all servers are fallacies that are down and won't ever come back up.

Yeah, there are a lot of fake servers and crap.
It would be nice if it was cleaned :)
