World of Minecraft server list won't close

i opened World of Minecraft and logged in and i was typing in the name of the server and it didnt respond. it stopped writing what i wrote halfway through and when i tried to close the window it would not close. please help

When you are typing the name, type one letter at a time and by that I mean type the letter then wait for the client to not lag.
