ok so this is my first update since buying smp and i have a few questions
Q1. After the server is updated...is the map reset?
Q2. (pls dont get mad at this one) about how long until all the updates are aplied?
Q3. Can u pls allow us to ride cats with a saddle? (that would just be epic...srry went off task)
Q4. Does anyone have a site that has more in-depth descriptions/info on the new update

Hmm so if you right click on the cat with a saddle you will get on it but not waste your saddle it would be cool with wolfs too.

Although Jak has already answered, I am putting a staff input into this.
1. The map will not be reset as far as I have been told. I will be planting jungle saplings and such when the update is rolled out
2. As an average the upgrade time has taken 2 weeks plus
3. Can you ride cats with a saddle in vanilla Minecraft? If not then no.
4. Here is the version history of Minecraft with the current updates that were added in 1.2 (and what was broken)
Also something as silly as riding Cats or what not with a saddle would require the actual Minecraft.jar to be modded, not the server so still no.

I think it would be possible to do this since the pig already has this coding, so in theory it maybe possible but it may create major lag.

And its bad enough im going at least 2 weeks without smp -_-

1) It has been agreed that the map will not be reset
2) Simple answer is that it takes as long as it takes, the coding people need to update all of the mods and plugins so that they work with the new minecraft update.

4) If you look on the minecraft wiki site, I think it has a list of updates and information.
