I was just curious how long it might be before the server is updated to 1.4.4 because i kow soon they are going to release this update for people to get so was just curious cause if it was going to be a little of a wait i would wait so i could still play.

the client side release and the vanilla is released today so if you want to play on SMP do NOT update at all or you will not connect at all

it'll probably be a while mate, I'd just wait it out and stay on smp.....

I think minecraft lets people conect to a 1.4.2 server using anything that's with a (1.4) But idk it's just a gues because when the server was 1.3.1 I was using 1.3.2 that's what I used to conect to the server.

no they will not connect as there were over a 120+ bugs fixed and a lot was server side so they disable the cross compabilty with 1.4.4 to 1.4.2

1.4.4 you can get now but there still the server to be updated. Again, wait it out till the server get up to date. However, nothing stopping you from using 1.4.4 as a single player. You'll have to change the mincraft.jar file over back and forth for online/offline play.

I already now how to make that server thing work I have my own and I update it my self so I can do it in only 12mins it only take's the long for me so it should take the same for Snow (since he already done it before) Soo once the new server update comes out we can work are best to get that thing done well not we XD But Snow.

You can't update to something that isn't out yet...
1.4.4 is aimed to be released soon but it isn't out yet, only in dev builds..,
