Hey, now my World of Minecraft is running.
But i have one Problem.
When i start the run.bat it takes MINUTES untill the java client open..:(..
and when i want to join a server it takes sooo much time too..
Maybe anyone knows why my java World of Minecraft client is so slow :(?
that isnt funny, i must wait minutes for the windows..

I have exactly the same problem - I was wondering if it was an operating system issue (I'm using Vista 32-bit).
I've tried switching off my anti-virus software (Windows defender) but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've also switched off user account control so that shouldn't be the issue.
I can think of two possible reasons:
1. Logging into minecraft.net, for me at least, is painfully slow at the moment, so I guess this would make the World of Minecraft client launch slow.
2. The second could be a thread handling issue in Vista (I saw some information about this here: http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t93347.html)
I really think the problem is the slow minecraft.net sever - anyone care to comment?

WoM used to be pretty fats on my PC (Win 7 x64 12 Gig Ram) but now it takes minutes to connect.
I have a feeling it may be related to minecraft.net unfortunately.

Ok, so i am having the same problem, but when i try to connect to World of Minecraft Main, it says it couldn't breach the necessary pararmeters, AND takes a long time. After that, i pushed ok, and changed it a bit. It sped right up. Anyway, my question is if any of you have had this problem with this server. I'm going to try the other World of Minecraft servers, to see if they work either.

guys minecraft came across some bugs on friday Notch is working on fixing them DO NOT delete your client it is not your connection or your PC or MAC it is the website

when you downloaded World of Minecraft, open it, unzip it, then run it. it should be very fast. i use World of Minecraft since about 2 months maybe 3, and it never was slow. minecraft.net is very fast too, so maybe its your computer. if your computer is a very fast one you maybe should check your router. good luck with fixing it!

i'd make a test and typed in wrong login informations
the client loads very fast, there arent problems..i join a generated level and all is okay.
but when my normal login informations try to connect to mincraft server, it takes minutes...-.-...whats that :(?...
help please
