World of Minecraft.exe won't open

Okay so, I can play Minecraft on the browser, hurray! I want to try the flying and stuff so, I downloaded the World of Minecraft Game Client v1.6.6 for Windows and I followed the Windows Game Client Tutorial. I extracted the WoMClient-1.6.6.zip files and when I double click World of Minecraft.exe, it doesn't open. Nothing happens. All I hear is the sound of an error when no error window pops up.
I'm using windows.
My Java is updated to the most recent. (I think)
People on other forums say that Minecraft runs on 32-bit Java. If that is the solution, how could I downgrade Java if possible. If this is not the case, please help. Thanks.

it is very similar problem to me to but when i'm opening World of Minecraft.exe there is written that "You do not have a copy of minecraft.jar installed .
Do you wish to Download it or quit? and then i'm pressing "download" after 25 sec.
