Ok so, just some random ideas I had for World of Minecraft:SMP recently. Wanted to share and see what y'all think. As my ideas grow, I will add to this. Now for where we will put this map(s), I was thinking another World of Minecraft server. (But I have no idea how much of a pain it is to set one up, so..yeah...)
hokay, so my first idea was:
WoM:Skylands
--I thought it would just be a blast to have a World of Minecraft:Skylands because of the constant risk of falling off the map, the many areas where towns could be set up, ect. ect.
Idea #2 (as thought of by Sonardo)
WoM:Skyblock
Now I laughed at this idea, but try 13 people on one "Block" of land, doing set challenges. Sounds silly? Sounds like hard work to me!
OTHER map suggestions? (I'd prefer big ones, for, you know, EXPLORING)

I was either thinking (forgot to place in OP) of.. another server..
but considering I have NO idea how much of a pain in the backside it is to make another server, I'm not sure. like I said, just ideas I had.

This sounds like an awesome idea, just dont know how it would be done server wise.

I think that if somebody did have these servers up and running, they'd have to have tighter whitelists, since enough grief happens on the current server, and that wouldn't be acceptable on a Skyblock map.

Actually, that's a great idea Sonardo. And maybe on The Skylands map, have it like the old SMP was. like Tech+ or something like that. that way it reduces on the griefiers as there are more mature people on.
As for the Hunger Games thing, I'll look into that.

Well it seems that all we would need to do is host a new server, and go in and build the skylands. It really isn't hard, ranger is doing it on his own server, well not the skylands but building his map from the ground up...

see the Skylands map is already made, we just need to get a server with the map on it. and I have no idea how to do that. :D

How would we get to the Skylands? It would also require running an extra map (Nether, The End) which I'm not sure we are capable of.
