New version of World of Minecraft Game Client 1.6.4.

This version is primarily to fix the issue that people were having with 502 errors when authenticating.

This version should only have issues when minecraft.net is actually down. Sometimes it was returning errors when there were none, more so in the last 12 hours.

There's also a minor fix to the Direct Connect feature where the "Go" button is highlighted when you select the input box, so it makes it easier to paste and press enter. Direct Connections now also count as your "Resume" session so if you Direct Connect and then quit, you can Resume back to the server you were just on.

No "fix" for the jumping bug yet... I'll be looking at it next, this release was just to get the 502 fix out ASAP.

Modifying MCLawl to use given salt

Some people have asked me to tell them how to get the salt out of MCLawl so that they can generate some DirectConnect URLs.

The short answer is that it's not possible,

The long answer is that it is possible, but you need to recompile the software.

If you download the source package from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mclawl/files/MCLawlSource.rar

In MCLawl/Properties.cs, find the lines that look like:

                        switch (key.ToLower())
                        {
                            case "server-name":

We all know how unstable the Minecraft.net authentication server has been lately, right?

WoM is proud to announce the availability of it's World of Minecraft Game Client 1.6.3, with Direct Connect URLs.

What's a Direct Connect URL?

A Direct Connect URL is a server link which bypasses the Minecraft.net authentication servers, allowing you to directly connect with a server.

Our test of the realms server is going well.

We're now 24 hours in and quite a lot of bugs have been squashed, we're moving rapidly towards having enough in-game functionality for the release.

There's been quite a few questions asked over again, so I thought I'd pop up a quick post with some answers for those of you who want to know what's going on.
