That's only a message saying you need to login to download. It doesn't change to a link after you login because the download is an attachment and you can only download attachments when you're logged in.

It's been a while since iv'e helped with this problem so bear with me.
I forgot which problem this was, either you didn't download the minecraft.jar or you don't have the latest version of java. If you downloaded the .jar then follow the steps below.
Do you have the latest version of java?
See if you can find java.exe by going into your C drive then follow these folders down: program files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe (or just java)
You can use this to check your version http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
If you don't have the latest version download it here http://www.java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_ie.jsp
If you're still having problems post a reply.

I have the minecraft.jar file in lib but i got the error

i got the error where i don't have minecraft.jar in in the lib folder, but i do. Someone please help!!

I don't get any servers once i get it open... don't get me wrong... the hacks work but i want to go on multiplayer... but no severs are listed... anyone know whats up?

I can't get the cheats to work on my Classic Multiplayer Server that I made. The client loads it properly, like I can see my co-ordinates, take screenshots, but for some reason the cheats don't work at all, and yes I have the cheats enabled box marked. It's strange because the cheats DO work when I load up a blank randomly generated world not multiplayer (like when I don't type anything in the url box thing). Any suggestions?

You must log into the client with your minecraft.net username and password and not your World of Minecraft ones otherwise the servers will not show. If you have you may be mistyped your password, it will not tell you if your username/password is incorrect.

Sorry, I read many sites of questions and answers, I read the instructions, I read everything, AND STILL DON'T KNOW WHERE LIB IS!!!!!

download the minecraft.jar file. do not go on the site and get it from there, use the link in the readme file and u will have a working 1

yea, um, i just downloaded everything and when i try to "execute run.bat" after putting minecraft in the folder it says theres no default application chosen. what do i do cause last time i did choose the application it got messed up. help would be much appreciated
