I packaged the run.bat file from World of Minecraft 1.5.9 into a Windows Executable using Bat-to-Exe and DharmaInitiative2010's MineCraft icon.
Benefits for this (for Windows users) are:
- The annoying terminal is now invisible
- There is a better icon
- The program can be pinned to the Windows 7 Taskbar
The executable does everything that can be expected from the ordinary bat file.
To install, simply place the MineCraft.exe file in your client directory (where the original run.bat file is). After copying the exe file, you can feel free to delete the run.bat file. To run MineCraft, simply double-click the MineCraft.exe program.

When I use World of Minecraft on a really big world it becomes very laggy. I have a decently good and fast laptop with 4gb RAM. On my other laptop which is a lot slower and has 3gb RAM it runs flawlessly and it starts up much faster as well. Does anyone have a solution? I am fairly sure it doesn't have anything to do with the quality of my laptop.

All right, let me start this off by saying I have Windows Vista on an HP laptop with 3 GB RAM. All hardware requirements are easily met, but after downloading and following the instructions to the letter for the client, I get this during loading:

You need to extract the folder. Using WinRAR right click on the womclient- 1 .5.9.zip folder (you'll need to go back to your download section: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads) Then right click on the womclient- 1.5.9.zip folder and select extract without confirmation wait for it to finish. Then click run.bat. Hope this helped some people.

Yeah that happened to me to. I think It is a problem in the script. All it says is "Process Complete" or something like that.

Great job with this, BUT! When i play offline and it generates a level, the hacks work. But when i load my flat map the hacks are gone. How do i activate them again? And disabling hacks and enabling didnt work.

My Windows 7 refuses to open an .dll application.
So, I can't download the World of Minecraft client, or any skins, ANYTHING.
I need help, I attempt to open a .DLL application, I can Open, or save.
If I click"Open", then it I have click infinetly. If I click "Save", it will save as INVedit!
I don't understand it. Please Reply.

I just got that error too. The client has been running great for me... up until now.
This time, when i tried to open it. It said it was Updating and to wait, then when that finished, this error came up. :(
I have downloaded it again and reinstalled it, and all that stuff, and it always says the same.

1) Open womclient-1.5.9.zip and then open womclient-1.5.9.
2) At the top of WinRar, click on Extract To and extract to desktop.
3) Save https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/classic/minecraft.jar
to Desktop>womclient-1.5.9>lib
4) Open womclient-1.5.9 and select run
5) Enjoy

when i increase the size of the World of Minecraft window, the resolution of it increases swell but the problem is that it increases permanently, i wish to restore the screen back to 1/4 of my screen but when i do that, the chat, inventory and cursor all get screwed up. Is there a way of restoring the resolution settings?
